Two-Pot Screamer, after a fun couple of years, has now closed its doors.
In its place, in the iconic foodie location of 285 Rundle Street, you’ll now find the modern Asian fusion restaurant of Paper Tiger.
We haven’t as yet (June 2023), had the opportunity to dine at Paper Tiger, but by all reports it has drawn inspiration from the legendary Chin Chin eateries of Melbourne and Sydney.

In replacing Jock Zonfrillo’s much awarded dual restaurant and eatery Orana and Bistro Blackwood in the east end of Adelaide’s CBD, Two Pot Screamers has seriously large shoes to fill.
With an innovative take on modern Australian cuisine downstairs, and groovy tunes and unique cocktails upstairs, Two-Pot Screamer has given itself every chance of achieving cult-status in Adelaide’s highly competitive culinary landscape.

The Back Story
Opening in challenging times (in the post-Covid world of late 2021) with the concept of coupling “Australia nostalgia with Australia native produce“, Two-Pot Screamer is the latest brain child from local hospitality group, Penny Hospitality. It’s a dining concept that offers a playful twist on classic Australian dishes.
You’ll find bistro-style food that harks back to the food that you (or your parents) grew up with. The menu is perfect for sharing as it reinvents nostalgic Australian dishes in a clever and amusing way. Be delighted by plates like the chiko roll with barley, cabbage and curry; and a gourmet game sausage sandwich in rye bread.

Venture upstairs and you’ll find a retro-inspired cocktail bar with balcony overlooking the hubbub of Rundle Street. The music is funky, the atmosphere lively and the cocktails unusual.
