If you want to know more about their menu and services then you are in the right place. We have put together this guide to tell you everything that you need to know.

What Is HyVee?

HyVee began as a simple grocery store in Iowa that was dedicated to offering ‘good merchandise, appreciative service and low prices’.

It opened in the 1930s and has continued to grow and develop, with innovative ideas and market leading strategies. In the 1940s they opened their first self-service store and even had a frozen cart. By the end of the 1940s they had opened 29 stores.

In the 1950s the name was changed to Hy-Vee, a combination of the names of the founders – Hyde and Vrendenburg. More and more stores were opened over the next few decades with over 200 stores in operation by 2010.

The stores are located across 8 different states – Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

As well as the stores, Hy-Vee also offers online grocery shopping services which came into action in 2015 with delivery options available. They also offer an online HyVee catering service.
