Sydney’s Best Chocolate Shops

Chocolate is my guilty pleasure. We all have them, and chocolate is mine.

My tastes run to most types of chocolate, except white (too sweet) and a number of the mainstream grocery brands. And I know good chocolate when tasting it, and I suspect that’s the same for most of us foodies.

Sydney has a number of skilled chocolatiers, and if you want to experience true artisanal chocolate loveliness, then you must visit one. It is not easy to make high-quality chocolate from the simple cocoa bean and a few ingredients, but the following chocolatiers are masters at it.

Go ahead and indulge. Embrace the chocoholic opportunity that Sydney presents you.

Let us guide you through Sydney’s best chocolate shops.

Three Chocolatiers

Location: 28 Carrington Street Wynyard, Train Station Sydney, NSW 2000 Ph: (02) 8214 5332

Three Chocolatiers specialises in premium handmade chocolate. It’s an up and coming Australia-made chocolate brand (and a Sydney success story) with big plans to expand nationally.

Since its humble opening in 2017, Three Chocolatiers has now expanded to four shops across Sydney. The flagship shop is in the Sydney CBD (Wynyard Station), and there is another in Parramatta and two more in Sydney’s T2 Domestic Airport.

All chocolates are handcrafted daily in Sydney, using only the best ingredients Australia can offer. With every type of chocolate imaginable (over 50 products) there is something for every chocolate lover or seeker of sweet treats out there.

Three Chocolatiers is most famous for its awesome Chocolate Freeze-Dried Strawberries. We like to think that they must be very healthy too, considering that frozen fruit is a key ingredient 😉

They offer a wide range of chocolate hampers and Valentines Day boxes for gifts.

But whilst Valentine’s Day might not be for everyone, chocolate most certainly is… The Three Chocolatiers will even sell their chocolate in bulk to the hardcore chocolate fan! What a time to be alive!

Editor’s Note: Three Chocolatiers has been reported as temporarily closed. We will let you know when we have more information.

These days, the quality of Haigh’s beautiful chocolates has seen them spread their sweet wings across the country. And, of course, even Sydney is now home to a number of their chocolate shops.

Haigh's Chocolates - Melbourne CBD - Sydney's best chocolate shops

From chocolate hampers and specialist selections – we are currently loving the Truffle Lovers – Haigh’s does it all.

We also like how they flex when the calendar. As I write (Jan 2023) they are promoting their Lunar New Year chocolate collections. Personally, I think that Lychee, Blood Orange and Mandarin cream centres encased in either milk or dark chocolate sound fabulously festive – and delicious.

But at the end of the day, aren’t we all simply suckers for a Haigh’s chocolate frog?!
